Emil Gigov
I tinker with anything remotely technical, enjoy building things, and figuring out how they work. Most of my free time goes into experimenting, taking photos, or accidentally letting the magic smoke out of a motherboard.
READ ME
I work at a software company in Sofia, somewhere between backend systems, integrations, infrastructure, and all the other technical problems that require a bit of outside-the-box tinkering. That's pretty much the philosophy behind everything I do.
What I enjoy most is figuring out how things work — whether it's a payment terminal, a Raspberry Pi, a legacy platform, a thermal printer, or some half-documented piece of software that nobody has touched in years. I've spent a good part of my life connecting systems and hardware that were never really designed to work together, and keeping them running in a world where most people would simply close the laptop and walk away.
Outside of work and tech, I'm interested in photography, music and playing guitar, literature, philosophy, and side projects that exist mostly because I'm curious enough to try building them. I like technology when it feels personal, repairable, and understandable.
This website is intentionally simple. It's less of a polished portfolio and more of a small corner of the web where I can collect the things I build, break, fix, photograph.
